Oh my... |

Trying my hand at a new granny square called “Sunburst”. My goal is to actually finish a quilt this year…. We’ll see. Anyway, it’s a pain in the ass to make, at least 5 different stitches are used. It took me all day yesterday to complete 3.5 squares, and that’s with me making numerous errors and going back to correct them. The end result is so beautiful that it’s worth the headache. But I’d forgotten how lost I get while crocheting. It’s so soothing and all worries about life go out the window. I vow to do more things that I used to enjoy but haven’t done in a very long time. Come spring, I’m going to start making jam again. I want to pull out my sewing machine at some point and use all of the fabric I’ve saved up over time. I’d forgotten how many things I wanted to do and try over the past couple of years. Something re-awoke this spark in me, and whatever ignited it, I hope stays.
