Apart from the top-right panel, this is ‘GPOY’ right now definitely resonates. The exception is because I think “get most people to ignore you and leave you alone” is, or at least in a lot of cases ought to be, the default setting for polite society. It’s also odd to think of Bill Waterson, a grown man, writing this as well as it coming directly from the character’s mouth  - but I guess that’s the charm/weirdness of Calvin and Hobbes. Also, that it’s about a kid whose best and only friend is a stuffed animal… but you all know that already.
